I played New York actress, Arlene Francis in the Orson Welles' radio play of "A Christmas Carol" at the end of December. It was great fun and I enjoyed working with the cast and director.

My short film, GIRLS, has been officially invited to screen at the cool film festival Courts des iles in Tahiti, French Polynesia, this November. I am so so happy about this! I never had enough money to send it anywhere properly when I had completed it during 1st year at RADA and I always felt all the hard work we had all put into it was never really seen. And then I get this beautiful email! Delighted!
I am setting up Cake-Run. It is a community-based charity project centred around baking cakes for your neighbours. I have applied for a grant from the Arthur Guinness Project Award. To know more about Cake-Run, visit the website here. And to VOTE for Cake-Run to win the Arthur Guinness Grant please follow this link here. Please keep in mind that you have to log onto Facebook or Twitter to vote- it tells you if you follow the link anyway. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!! I have just won a leading part in an episode of BBC One's 'Father Brown' with Mark Williams, Sorcha Cusack and James Fleet. I am delighted and look forward to my time in the Cotswolds to shoot it. It will be aired in Jan/Feb 2014.
I did Stephen Jeffreys Scriptwriting Masterclass at RADA from March - May this year. It was wonderful and his expertise were hugely helpful. Stephen has written many masterpieces including the play and film, "The Libertine" and the new film coming out this September about Princess Diana.
Just finished playing "Mandy" for the BBC's new show, Quick Cuts starring Doon Mackichan of 'Smack the Pony' fame. It was great fun!
On Monday, I was asked to work with Fiona Shaw on her upcoming opera, The Maids of Lucretia by Benjamin Britten. We went to the beautiful Glyndebourne and spent the whole day working through various scenes of this stunning opera.
I did a wonderful rehearsed reading two weeks ago with director Colin Blumenau of Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmonds. We did "Rory O'More" and I played the leading lady, 'Kathleen'. It was great fun and the cast were a lovely bunch.
I finished shooting BBC's Doctors last week, in Birmingham. It was great fun and I was put up in a hotel for three days; sweet. On Monday 26th, I played a homeless teenager in BBH's promo for Centrepoint Charity, directed by Peter Montgomery. It was such a wonderful, challenging, brilliant shoot. I learned so much from it and felt I really met the challenge of playing a homeless teenager very well. Last Saturday (01/12/2012), I played a London teenager again. This time it was for the Directors Lab UK. I played the lead, 15 year old Alex in a feature film called "Undone". It is directed by Stefan Stuckert and written by Carole Budgen. It is in the development phase and they will use what they shot as a promo for the film. CurlinessI am a girl with a curl
In the middle of my forehead When I am good I am very very good But when I am bad I am horrid: I have no grace I don’t cheer & grin I have a wonky face Don’t have big white teeth Or hair that fits in I hunch & create Chaos in this man-made place I aint your cheer-leader Side-kick, the “Mrs” Or your damned kid feeder I am darkness Sent to crush Your plastic dreams Like a leader I am. - but not quite; I’m a curly wurly doll With black eyes You’ve had the keys too long! Crippled us, we can’t fly Hand them over with a song And a dance Mr Man Sometimes people say “don’t Make a song and a dance about it!” But do! Oh please do! And wobble yourself Topple yourself Your buildings and foundations Till they crack smack WHACK And from them up up UP I rise So get ready for me Little wee me like a daisy (in the cracked pavement) I am. Or am I? You don’t see me Coming cos I have a curl (Sweet little girl) In the middle of my forehead And when I am good I am very very good But when I am bad I am WOMAN The Day Shall Declare It at Bush BazaarI went to the Bush recently to see the mad pix & mix festival called the, "Bush Bazaar". The whole building was taken over and there were a myriad of things you could do and see. One of my favourite things by far was, "The Day Shall Declare It" upstairs in the Attic. It was produced by theatre company, This Is The Wilderness and it was a beauty! It is probably one of the most beautiful things I've seen at the theatre for a long time. I don't want to say too much about it as I don't want to give anything away. It's not on at the Bush anymore but they may be doing more dates of it elsewhere. If you can, do go see it. You will not regret it. Here is their website.
