I was asked by Anna Olson Nugent, to be a part of a performed script read-through of a new police t.v. series called "Archangel" by Lindsay Sedgwick. It is an excellent script. To give you an idea of what it is about: it could be likened to a female Irish version of "Cracker". The episode we read is called "The Changeling" and is about child-murder and abduction. I read the part of 'Amy Johnson', an innocent, simple-minded young woman that inadvertently gets herself caught up in the police investigation.
I knew Anna from a show I did years ago called, "The Glory of Living" for her company AboutFace. She has since moved back to the States so it was lovely to meet her and alot of the old gang that had worked on "The Glory of Living" again. The read-through took place tonight at The Lab, Foley Street and alot of industry professionals came along who very much enjoyed the piece. It was a fantastic night and a great success.
